Reinsurance News Mt. Logan Capital Management, Ltd., the third-party capital management arm of Everest Group, Ltd., has announced the appointment of Sun Siang Liew as Chief Analytics Officer. In this role, Liew will oversee portfolio management and actuarial analytics, reporting directly to John Modin, CEO of MLCM. “I am pleased to welcome Sun to MLCM, who brings a proven track record in portfolio management, analytics, and optimisation to our ILS team,” added Modin. “Sun is well-versed in reinsurance affiliated manager offerings, and I look forward to working with him as we enhance our tailored strategies and develop products to meet investors’ objectives and drive MLCM’s continued growth.” Prior to joining MLCM, Liew served as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Analytics at RenaissanceRe, following its acquisition of Validus Re. At Validus Re, he was a key member of the management team for AlphaCat Managers, the company’s third-party capital affiliate. There, he led portfolio analytics and was instrumental in investor portfolio construction and product development. “As we expand our offerings, Sun’s expertise will provide investors with advanced analytics to assess and monitor Everest-sponsored strategies through MLCM, further strengthening our investor focused platform,” said Youssef Sfaif, MLCM’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
