Blackstone Reportedly Is in the Final Stages of Reacquiring Trans Maldivian Airways March 07, 2025 at 11:35 am EST Share Blackstone Inc. (NYSE:BX) is in the final stages of reacquiring Trans Maldivian Airways (PVT) Ltd. (TMA) at nearly the original selling price from a consortium of Bain Capital Private Equity, LP and Chinese conglomerate Tempus Group Co., Ltd., said people aware of the development. A potential deal would mark the return of TMA into Blackstone's fold after an eight-year period that saw the world's largest seaplane charter operator endure a turbulent phase exacerbated by the pandemic which precipitated its bankruptcy, followed by a debt restructuring. Blackstone, Carlyle, and DK declined to comment. King Street Capital did not respond to email queries. Share
