Paperbox - back-end processing
As illustrated in the slidedeck (“Paperbox - Overview”), Paperbox back-end processing pipeline consists of three main components: OCR (Digitization), Classify and Extract. By using and benchmarking various OCR packages, Paperbox is capable of understanding and digitizing scanned images or handwritten notes with high throughput rates. Consequently, the Classify module automatically identifies the document type and assigns your documents or emails to a corresponding box using state-of-the-art machine learning. In a final step, Paperbox extracts the relevant data elements from the insurance documents or emails. This includes claims numbers, policy numbers but also values like dates, checkboxes, amounts and even entire tables or signatures. All of this is deployed in a GDPR-protected and solid cloud environment.
