El cambio climático está impactando cada vez más en la vida de las personas, las comunidades y las empresas. Por esta razón, Fundación Seres fomenta grupos de trabajo con empresas, uno de ellos con foco en la transición justa ( Labs de Transición Justa) en el que trabaja para que las empresas integren en su estrategia de sostenibilidad una mirada centrada en las personas. Ya cuenta con varios casos de éxito de diferentes empresas: Fundación Repsol impulsa la iniciativa Motor Verde, un proyecto de reforestación que no sólo contribuye a potenciar la absorción de CO2 sino que también impulsa el empleo local e inclusivo en zonas rurales. A través de programas de formación, mejora la empleabilidad y fomenta el emprendimiento en el sector forestal, dinamizando el tejido empresarial del entorno y apostando por una inversión con impacto social y ambiental a largo plazo. Bayer: la planta de La Felguera (Asturias) se ha convertido en un referente internacional de descarbonización industrial. Un ejemplo de cómo las empresas pueden abordar el cambio climático con impacto positivo en las personas. Este centro industrial ha logrado combinar la reducción de su huella de carbono y el avance hacia una transición justa en la región.
